Piece Hostel Kyoto

Common spaces are really nice - there's a kitchen with all you need and enough space to have a meal, there's a small garden and a terrace. Everything is well maintained and regularly cleaned (kitchen, bathrooms and toilets get cleaned many times a day). Staff members are all friendly and helpful. Hostel is close to Kyoto station, but quietly tucked away in a small back alley. The room is small, but exactly as in the description and pictures shown. We would definitely choose again, only it was a little pricey due to new years holidays.

Super spacious kitchen and chillout area with more than enough space to eat, cook or play some games. The kitchen, toilets and showers were always very clean aswell as the rooms themselves. There is not much space inside each room, but it is not necessary. Therefore the beds are super big and comfortable. There is a beautiful terrace to hang out outside and the staff is really nice, helpful and they all speak english fluently, which makes communication easy. There is a possibility to wash and dry your clothes via coin machines and you can always take as many towels as you need for each shower. And a big bonus on top: it is super affordable and I think if you travel alone, it is easy to make new friends here, since they offer a video game night every second evening. We loved it :)

I had a great stay at Piece Hostel Kyoto. The facilities are well-maintained, and I really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout. The beds are quite wide, though they may not be the most comfortable option for very tall guests. Bathrooms are available on every floor and are always kept clean. Showers are only located on the first floor, which at first seemed inconvenient, but it worked out fine. One highlight was the free use of towels. They’re conveniently placed just outside the shower rooms, so you can grab a fresh one every day. The power outlets didn’t have the strongest charging capacity, but it wasn’t a major issue. The hostel’s location is excellent, just a short walk from Kyoto Station, making it very easy to get around. The common area is spacious, with plenty of seating, computers available for guests, and enough room to get work done if needed. Wi-Fi on my floor was a bit slow, but the connection in the common area was reliable. Overall, Piece Hostel Kyoto offers great value with clean facilities, a convenient location, and a comfortable space to relax or work.

When you think 'hostel', you think about sharing a bunk bed with strangers and worrying about your belongings. This was not a case! First of all, the building and facilities seem brand new, clean and cared for! Even though bathrooms were shared, everyone has privacy and shower rooms were clean and always available. Rooms were nice and beds comfortable although they are quite small so be mindful when you're trying to open and unpack 2 big suitcases. Aircon worked great, staff was friendly. I absolutely loved tasty coffee which was free of charge! I liked that you get to use fresh towels if you needed to, and that the hostel had rooms with mirrors and hair dryers where you can get ready (bonus points for dyson hairdryers!) Also the location right be the Kyoto Station is very handy although to most of the attractions we travelled by bus which was almost always 30+ minutes. I also really liked outdoor terrace and vicinity of 2 seven elevens

This is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. The staff is super friendly and professional. The facilities, including the common areas, bathrooms, showers, and room space, are excellent — there was even a table in the room that made organizing things easier. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the tea or work area is also very comfortable. Overall, excellent service!
